The 6th National Smart Supply Chain Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge for College Students in 2023, hosted by China General Chamber of Commerce, held its final in Anhui Polytechnic University from May 26th to May 28th. Among four awards, the “Elite” team directed by teacher Zhao Wenjuan and Wang Baixun won three gold medals in the National Team Competition for Junior College Group, Collaborative Operation of Supply Chain and Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Manufacturers. The “Always Right” team directed by teacher Xiong Shiwei and Zhang Zhuohua's won the silver prize in the National Team Competition for Undergraduate Group. Four instructors won the "Excellent Instructor Award", and at the same time, GCC won the "Excellent Organization Award" presented by the organizer China General Chamber of Commerce.

With three stages of vocational skill evaluation, operational confrontation, scheme planning and defense, this competition cultivates the participants' holistic supply chain mindset, management and operation ability, communication and coordination ability, and the overall concept of innovation and entrepreneurship in the panoramic supply chain business ecological environment, so as to promote the professional construction and talent training in supply chain in colleges and universities.

During the preparation, the instructors provided the students with intensive training, which lasted for two and a half months. In the national preliminary competition, students have won the first prize in the vocational school group and the second prize in the undergraduate group, ranking among the top 50 in each track, entering the finals and achieving fruitful results.

The International College has always been adhering to the guiding principle of teaching and learning through competition. Therefore, students are encouraged to actively participate in competitions in logistics, so as to enhance students' ability of theoretical application and practice. After the competition, the team and the college held a meeting to summarize the experience for the next competition and forge ahead into the future.
