On the afternoon of September 7th, Guo Hang, vice president of Guangzhou College of Commerce, and Hong Zhenhua, vide dean of International College, visited the Representative Office of the NSW Government in Guangzhou. Murray Davis, chief representative of Trade and Investment Office in Greater China of the NSW Government, and Cao Bing, senior commercial officer warmly welcomed Guo Hang and the delegation. The two sides held a meeting for discussion and exchange.
Guo Hang expressed his gratitude to Murray Davis for his warm reception. At the meeting, Guo introduced the development, discipline construction, types of international cooperation programs and achievements of the university. He mentioned that the Trade and Investment Office of the New South Wales Government has played an important role in promoting the establishment of friendly cooperation between GCC and NSW colleges and universities. As the only representative of education cooperation in Guangdong Province, GCC will be invited to participate in the 29th Guangdong Province-New South Wales Joint Economic Conference and the signing ceremony with Western Sydney University at the conference. Such opportunity will further expand the brand influence of GCC's internationalization and build an excellent cooperation platform for more students to further their studies. Guo Hang wished that the two sides would maintain close contact and communication, and looked forward to introducing more quality educational resources from New South Wales to promote the development of internationalization of the university.
Murray Davis appreciated the scale and achievements of the internationalization of GCC. He said that New South Wales, as an important provincial capital of Australia, has a superior geographic location, developed economy and rich cultural resources, and has many first-class famous universities, which are popular with the majority of Chinese students. NSW Government Trade and Investment Office is willing to promote the cooperative relationship between GCC and NSW universities, and contribute to the exchange and cultivation of economic and trade talents between Guangdong Province and NSW.
After the meeting, Guo Hang invited Murray Davis and his colleagues to visit Guangzhou College of Commerce to gain an in-depth understanding of the university development, and to further strengthen the communication between the two sides.
