On June 27th, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Guangzhou College of Commerce (GCC) and the East Asian Institute of Management (EAIM), Singapore, at the Sino-Singapore Intelligence Park (SSIP) in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. Liu Jing, director of Science, Technology and Intellectual Property Department of Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Development and Construction Office, Cai Xianming, executive director, vice chair and vice chancellor of EAIM, Zhang Yuantao, director of China office, Hu Weijie, director of International Cooperation, Jin Wenfeng, vice dean of Student Services, Wang Miao, general manager of SSIP, Chen Yingying, representative of Singapore Chamber of Commerce Secretariat, Ma Weilan, president of GCC, Yin Rui, executive president of GCC, Guo Hang, vice president of GCC, Hong Zhenhua, vice dean of the International College, attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Guo Hang.
At the beginning of the ceremony, both parties watched the promotional videos of GCC and EAIM.
Ma Weilan delivered a welcome speech for the signing ceremony. She said that GCC is a university with innovative spirit. The signing ceremony would open a new window for the university's foreign exchange and cooperation, adding new partners for the university's international programs. Ma Weilan introduced the development and achievements of GCC, including the efforts and results in the integration of industries and education, the improvement of scientific research, campus construction and international education, and shared our commitment to cultivate high-quality and application-oriented talents with the abilities of adaptation, organization, innovation and happiness. She stated that the cooperation with EAIM will further improve the level of international education and create an internationalized faculty team with multiple teaching means.
Yin Rui, executive president of GCC, and Cai Xianming, vice chancellor of EAIM, signed the MOU of Cooperation on behalf of the two universities, and the signing ceremony was witnessed by Liu Jing, Ma Weilan and Zhang Yuantao.
After the signing ceremony, the guests took a group photo and then visited GCC. They had an in-depth understanding of campus's teaching environment and facilities and further deepened their impression of GCC.
