The epidemic situation of the Corona virus is spreading rapidly in many places around the world. The school and family in China are concerned regarding the situation of the students who are studying in foreign countries. Under the unified leadership and deployment of the school's prevention and control work leading group, the International Academy has extended its frontline chain, taken multiple measures, and refined plans to find ways to ensure the safety and health of students studying abroad and maintain the overall stability of the school.
Inter-school cooperation and information exchange is important. We have communicated with the University of Nebraska Omaha, Bever University, Coventry University and Hull University for many times, inquired about the local prevention and control measures and the study and living conditions of overseas students. We have provided suggestions on successful domestic epidemic prevention and control practices.
We need to keep in touch and keep information up to date. In order to ensure the smooth flow of information, the International College has established a working group such as an overseas student epidemic prevention liaison group, which has fully utilized the role of party members and members of overseas students, and quickly carried out holiday arrangements for overseas students to ensure that the a timely and accurate Master students' physical health and ideological dynamics is maintained.
We need to increase awareness and ability. The school sends out a letter to overseas students during the epidemic via WeChat public account, overseas student information group, and student parent group, and convenes an online meeting of representatives of overseas cooperative colleges, overseas students, and parents of students to guide them to treat the epidemic to improve the awareness and ability of overseas students in prevention and control.
We need to raise up supplies and pass on warmth. The school board and school leaders learned about the situation of the college ’s overseas cooperative colleges and students, and urgently deployed arrangements to prepare face masks, temperature guns, disposable gloves and other epidemic prevention materials. Chen Hai, an 2018 student of our International College, donated 1,000 masks to the college. By sending materials to overseas students in batches, the teachers and students of colleges and universities care about them.
