On the afternoon of December 19th, Director of East Asia Strategic Relations Department & Academic Cooperation Department of University of Coventry, Mrs. Judy Finlay, Deputy Director of China Office Academic Cooperation Department, Tang Xin, Chairman of Weishi Overseas Education Group, Wang Huiyi, , and International Education Project Manager, Wu Yingwen visited our International College. Dean of International College, Guo Hang, General Secretary Li Junpeng, Vice Dean Long Haiying, Assistant Dean Li Cailing, and Foreign Affairs Director Zhang Yandong welcomed Mrs. Judy Finlay and her party in the 202 conference room and held a seminar.
Li Junpeng welcomed Mrs. Judy Finlay and made a presentation regarding students with double degrees of accounting & project management with combined undergraduate & postgraduate program of Coventry University. He hopes that Coventry University can come next April to hold a farewell party for the first-year overseas students of the program to answer their questions and prepare them for foreign studies.
Mrs. Judy Finlay said that Coventry University takes the first dual degree students seriously. The University will provide full-time teachers to provide students with guidance to study in the UK. At the same time, they will fully support the cooperation with Guangzhou college of commerce. Coventry University can establish academic implantation, assign professors to give lectures to students, and carry out academic exchanges program between the two. In addition, it can assist in various student activities and select Coventry University student ambassadors to help students understand Coventry University in depth.
Guo Hang proposed to further cooperate with Coventry University. He hopes to carry out the cooperation of double degree programs regarding tourism management, business English and other majors as well as foundation courses for master degree next year, so as to provide more opportunities for business students to study in Coventry University.
At the meeting, the two parties communicated on personnel training, curriculum arrangements, admission requirements, and enrollment promotion.
