On May 19th, Dr. Amelie Burgess from Adelaide Business School, Tang Tao, Admissions Manager of China, Cai Man, Consulting Manager of IDP Guangzhou Office and the delegation visited GCC. Zhong Yuanhui, Secretary of the Party Branch of International College, Li Cailing, Assistant Dean, and teachers' representatives attended the exchange seminar, and Bert Wolfs, Dean of Swiss Business School attended the seminar online.
Zhong Yuanhui welcomed Dr. Amelie Burgess and the delegation. He introduced the achievements of cooperation in running schools between the two sides. Since 2018, the cooperative education project has been carried out smoothly. The two colleges have jointly trained nearly 100 students for five sessions, and most of them have successfully entered the top 100 famous universities in QS for further study. Zhong Yuanhui said that the cooperation with the University of Adelaide has effectively improved the internationalization level of personnel training in GCC, and the college looks forward to further deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
Dr. Amelie Burgess expressed her gratitude to GCC for the warm reception and she briefly introduced her teaching experience and the courses she taught. She pointed out that universities should not only pay attention to the teaching of basic knowledge, but also need to focus on cultivating students' innovative thinking, and closely combine teaching methods with industry practice, so that students can acquire more cutting-edge knowledge of the industry.
The two sides had in-depth exchanges on teaching methods, teaching priorities and scientific research experience in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere. After the seminar, Dr. Amelie Burgess gave the marketing course to the students of the project in the form of an open class. The course was informative and unique in teaching methods, which stimulated the students' enthusiasm for learning and broadened their horizons.
