On the afternoon of September 19th, 2022, a meeting for freshmen of Grade 2022 was held in the library by the International College, which included the main venue in the library and four sub-venues in the International College. Guo Hang, vice president of GCC, Li Junpeng, secretary of the Party branch of the International College, Long Haiying and Hong Zhenhua, vice deans of the International College, full-time teachers' representatives and all freshmen attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Li Junpeng.

After playing the video which displays the achievements of the 20th anniversary of international education in the International College, the leaders of the International College took the stage to speak in turn, expressing their expectations and blessings for the freshmen and full-time teacher representatives enthusiastically introduced themselves to the students respectively. The teachers all hoped to make progress and in-depth exchanges with the students, and put forward suggestions for the freshmen on their future study and life. They hoped that the students would establish a correct outlook on the world, life and values and encouraged them to enjoy college life, finding more possibilities in their study. Party branch secretary Li Junpeng brought a wonderful speech on the theme of "Being an Excellent Self" to freshmen.
