On the morning of March 13, the International College held a case study seminar on psychological education for the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The meeting was held to effectively strengthen the construction of the counselor team, enhance the targeted and effective intervention in psychological crises, improve the ability and level of the student workforce in dealing with student psychological issues, and further promote psychological health education in the college. The seminar invited Director Zhang Qiuyan from the School's Psychological Health and Counseling Center and the school's psychological counselor Cai Huiyan to provide guidance. The Secretary of the International College's Party Committee Zhong Yuanhui and all counselors attended the meeting, which was chaired by Lu Zhaolu, the deputy director of the International College's Psychological Counseling Center.
The seminar focused on the theme of "Let the flower be a flower, let the tree be a tree" to facilitate in-depth discussions and exchanges. At the same time, participants summarized the experiences and inadequacies in psychological education work, clarified future efforts and improvement measures. During the meeting, Lu Zhaolu reviewed and summarized the investigation of student psychological issues and crisis intervention work since the opening of the International College. Participants shared their own experiences in dealing with difficulties encountered in psychological crisis intervention work, as well as the growth journey, raising questions to the attending teachers about the problems and challenges encountered in the psychological crisis intervention process. Zhang Qiuyan and Cai Huiyan provided professional explanations and guidance to the counselors on the questions raised.
This case study seminar on psychological education is one of the skill training contents for the counselor team, focusing on practical work of counselors, promoting communication and learning among student affairs teams, and further enhancing the psychological counseling capabilities of the college's student workforce. The college will continue to strengthen the counselor team through themed seminars, enhance the counselors' ability in psychological education work, and ensure the protection and guidance of students' psychological health.
